Lullaby

Lullaby is a piece of work I built for a group show at APT Gallery, Deptford during September 2020. The piece was built as a means to think about ideas around indeterminacy. I have been collecting used music box movements for some years, I chose six at random and prepared them using a dremel & pliers, additional elements were added to the movements such as springs & wires. The prepared movements were then housed in an aluminium project box complete with a DIY piezo microphone preamp which can be phantom powered form a mixer.
